About the Knight Run

The Knight Run is tied to Southern Virginia University's homecoming weekend, so the atmosphere on course reflects that: costumes are common, there is a costume contest with several categories including school spirit and group costumes, and the whole morning leans toward celebration. The course is a short road race on or near campus in Buena Vista.

After you finish, the party continues with food trucks, live music, and lawn games as part of an alumni tailgate that runs through the afternoon. A kids' obstacle course runs on the same grounds. The day wraps up with a football game at the campus stadium, and plenty of people stay for it.
