The race starts on Thanksgiving morning at Veterans Park Pavilion, right along the lake. The address puts you at the water's edge in downtown Boyne City, so the surroundings are scenic without anyone having to tell you so. It is a holiday morning race in a small northern town, which sets the tone pretty naturally.
