The courses start and finish at Juanita Beach Park and wind through Juanita Bay Park along the way. The route takes in water views and the skyline across the lake, then crosses the Market Street Bridge on the return. There is also a short children's run that stays entirely within the park, giving younger kids their own finish line.
After the race, a post-race celebration moves to Moss Bay Hall in downtown Kirkland, where there are pretzels and beer.
