About the King Cares Annual 5K
This race is put on by student-athletes from the fall sports teams at a local school, and the cause shapes the whole feel of the morning. Proceeds go to a pair of organizations serving children and young people. The student organizers treat it as part of their own education, not just a fundraiser.
Registration opens on the Simon House Lawn before the start gun. That grassy gathering spot doubles as the staging area, so there is no hunting for a separate packet pickup location. The start and the pre-race activity are in the same place.
