About the Kids Li'l Firefighter Fun Run
This is a children's race held at Austin Park, with distance scaled to the runner's grade level, so the youngest kids cover a short loop and older ones run a bit farther. It takes place during a larger Field Day, which means there is already a crowd and some energy in the park when the kids line up. Proceeds go to the local volunteer fire department.
Parking is in the field beside the old ice area, alongside other Field Day visitors. Packet pickup and walk-up registration open on race morning before the start. Same-day signup is available for families who did not register ahead of time.
