The course runs out from an elementary school and back, with the shorter route staying clear of road crossings entirely. The longer distance passes through a park before looping back to the start. Both are straightforward and navigable for kids. Costumes are welcome, and there is a candy donation drop at the finish.
Parking is not available at the school itself due to construction; a back lot at a nearby school down the road is the spot. Snacks are out after you finish. The race benefits a childhood hunger relief organization, and registration fees go directly toward meal-packing events.
