About the Kent Pumpkin Run 50th Anniversary Race
The course runs through Kent on roads that pass through town during peak fall color, so the scenery does a lot of the work. The race has a costume tradition that is taken seriously, with superheroes, pumpkins, pirates, and full group themes turning up at the start line alongside runners who are genuinely racing.
The race is based at the Kent Green Shopping Center, which gives you parking and a natural gathering spot before and after. Afterward, the town's shops, restaurants, and galleries are a short walk away, so many runners make an afternoon of it.
