About the Ken Freeman Huff, Puff, then Stuff 5K

The course runs along the paved Hot Springs Greenway Trail, out from the Transportation Depot to Hollywood Park and back. It is an out-and-back on a trail, so the turnaround point doubles as a mid-race water stop with a little celebration. The surroundings are scenic and historic, and the whole thing wraps up in time to get everyone home for Thanksgiving dinner.

Packet pickup happens the evening before at the Parks and Trails office on Opera Street, with a second window on race morning at the Transportation Depot before the start. There is pumpkin pie or pumpkin roll at the finish for overall winners, and the race benefits a local trail expansion effort.
