About the 5th Annual KCNA2 Epilepsy Fun Run & Roll

The course stays entirely within Cook Park, looping along shared paths through the park grounds. The terrain is accessible to runners, walkers, and wheelchair users alike, and dogs on leashes are welcome along the way. It is a fundraiser at its core, organized around a rare neurological condition, so the crowd at the finish tends to be families and advocates rather than racing regulars.

Everything, including packet pickup, the start, and the finish, is centered at one of the park's shelters. Free parking is available throughout the park, with ADA spaces close by, and public restrooms are near the start. Post-race, there is coffee and refreshments at the finish line, along with a raffle. The event runs rain or shine, which around here is worth noting.

Common Questions About the 5th Annual KCNA2 Epilepsy Fun Run & Roll

Will I finish last at the 5th Annual KCNA2 Epilepsy Fun Run & Roll?

Almost certainly not. Half the 5K field finished slower than 35:38, and the last recorded finisher came in around 52:32, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the 5th Annual KCNA2 Epilepsy Fun Run & Roll a good first 5K?

How competitive is the 5th Annual KCNA2 Epilepsy Fun Run & Roll?
