About the Jolly Holly Holiday Run & Walk
The race starts and finishes on Sassafras Street, at a community center that the organizing nonprofit runs out of a renovated space in Millville. The shorter distance goes first in the evening, then the longer one follows, so the street sees two waves of runners before the awards wrap things up. It is a holiday season race in every sense, held after dark with the feel of a neighborhood gathering.
The start area is the community center itself, which gives the evening a grounded, local character rather than the anonymous feel of a park or school lot. Both courses begin and end at the same spot, so spectators can watch runners leave and come back without moving.
