About the Johns Hopkins Below the Belt Stride and Thrive 5K
The race takes place entirely inside the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, which means the course runs through zoo grounds with varied surfaces underfoot. Strollers are welcome but the terrain is uneven enough that a jogging stroller is the practical choice. The morning centers on a large event village with sponsor tents, health screenings, kids activities, and a main stage program.
Packet pickup is available the morning before the race at the zoo, and again on race morning before the start. The zoo entry is included with registration for race day only. Food and drink are provided on site; bringing your own is not permitted on the grounds.
