The races start and finish at Sperling Sports Complex on Marsh Road, a sports facility on the edge of Deland. The courses head out on open roads, and the Thanksgiving morning timing gives the whole thing a holiday-morning feel. This race has been going long enough that it draws multi-generational regulars, and the age group awards reach deep into the field.

Packet pickup the day before is held in a courtyard at a local shopping area on North Clara Avenue, which makes for an easy in-and-out the evening before. Race-morning pickup opens early at the sports complex, and food and drink are available at the finish.
