About the Joey Fabus Superhero Run 5K Race & 1-Mile Walk
The race is named for Joey Fabus and built around his love of superheroes, so costumes are a real part of the morning. Carnival games and music start before the gun, giving the start area a party atmosphere that is not just background noise. The walk option means the course sees a wide range of paces.
Packet pickup runs the morning before at a local donut shop, which sets the tone early. On race morning, pickup opens again before the carnival games begin. Awards go several age groups deep, and Fleet Feet and a sporting goods store contribute to the prize table for top finishers.
