This race is held at a high school in Deep Run, starting from the student parking lot. It honors the memory of a local man who loved running and died before he could reach a goal he had been working toward, and the entry fees go toward scholarships for graduating seniors who plan to give back to their community.
Parking is in the student lot at the school. Dogs are not permitted on race day, though strollers are allowed.
