About the JJK5K
The course runs on the oval track at World Wide Technology Raceway, the same surface NASCAR drivers use for the Enjoy Illinois race held there each year. You start and finish at the track's finish line, which is a genuinely unusual place to run. The race honors East St. Louis native Jackie Joyner-Kersee, and proceeds support her foundation's youth programs. Several distance options are available, including a walk.
Packet pickup is on race morning at the track, wrapping up before the start. The venue has free parking. Registration also includes tickets to the NASCAR Cup race later that weekend, so the day has a natural second act if you want to stick around.
