About the Jingle Bell Trot
The course runs down Canterbury Road, which is strung with holiday lights for the event. It is a road race on a residential street, so the surface is flat and the surroundings feel neighborhood-scale. The lights are the main thing: at dusk, the street is lit up the whole way, and that is what draws people back.
Packet pickup the evening before is at Bangert Elementary School, with race-day pickup available as well. Parking is in the school lots, and there is overflow at a nearby park with a short walk in. Pushchairs and running strollers are permitted on the course. Food trucks are set up for before and after the race.

How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
