About the Jingle Bell 5K & Kids Fun Run
The course runs along the cart paths of a golf club on the Piankatank River, a mixed-surface route that stays mostly flat until a named hill near the end gives you one last push before the finish. The surroundings are open and quiet, the way a golf course tends to be, with the river not far off.
After the race, the clubhouse fills up with hot chocolate, popcorn, and pizza from a local sponsor. There is holiday music and crafts, and kids who run the shorter fun run get a chance to visit with Santa while everyone dries off and settles in.
