About the Jingle Bear Trot
The course winds through Beerbower Park, and the route is short enough that costumes are genuinely practical. Runners and walkers show up in holiday gear, and plenty carry jingle bells. There are a couple of distance options, both on the shorter end, so the whole thing wraps up quickly.
The race is woven into a larger town celebration the same evening. After the trot, the park fills up for a train lighting ceremony, with free cocoa and cookies, live performances, and a Christmas convoy through town. It is worth staying for.
