About the Jackson Hole Turkey Trot
The course starts and finishes at Stilson Parking Lot, running out along a paved pathway, dipping under a highway through a tunnel before Fish Creek, then turning north on a road for a stretch past an elementary school before looping back. It is untimed, with faster runners at the front and everyone else spreading out behind. Prizes go to the top finishers and the best-dressed.
The race runs on Thanksgiving morning, which means holiday sweaters are very much part of the scene. Hot beverages are waiting at the finish, served in special mugs available that day. Donations are welcomed to keep entry free. Dogs are allowed but must stay leashed.
