About the Jack Frost 5k Run & 1.5m Walk
The Jack Frost 5k starts and finishes at a Catholic student center in Springfield, with the walk option making it a morning that draws people of varying ambitions. The course details are not elaborate, and the race leans toward the neighborhood end of the spectrum, the kind of winter outing where showing up in the cold is half the point.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at the same student center that hosts the start, with race-morning pickup available in the window before the gun. Awards go to overall leaders and age group placers, and the ceremony happens right after the last finishers come in.

The Jack Frost 5k Run & 1.5m Walk has been held every year since at least 2016. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Oct 25, 2026.
