About the Jack & Jill Marathon & Half
The course runs point-to-point on a rail trail, dropping steadily from start to finish on a smooth, paved surface. There is no meaningful climbing, so runners looking to post a fast time come here specifically for that reason. The route passes through the Snoqualmie Tunnel, a long, dark passage through the mountain that is unlike anything on most race calendars.
At the finish, a bell is available for runners to ring after a personal best, and the announcer calls out whether you have hit a Boston qualifier. Pacers are on course targeting key qualifying windows, which shapes the feel of the field: a lot of people out there are chasing something specific.
