About the IronMike 5K Run/Walk

The course starts near the pavilion at Armada Township Park, loops through the surrounding neighborhood streets, and passes the local schools before returning through the park to the finish. The route is mostly flat streets with a few turns, and because it winds back through familiar ground near the end, you get a sense of where you are headed well before you get there.

The race honors a fallen Marine, and the proceeds support a foundation that funds educational programs and therapies for people with special needs. A raffle runs after the finish, and post-race food is set out for everyone. Race-morning registration opens early, so you do not need to sort anything out the day before.
