About the Ion Bank Cheshire Road Races
The half marathon course stretches into neighboring Hamden, with long stretches along the Farmington Canal Trail, a historic rail-to-trail corridor that keeps the route open and largely flat. The shorter road race winds through residential Cheshire neighborhoods with few turns to navigate.
Post-race there is live music and food and drink at the finish, along with a healthy living expo. Kids fun runs are part of the morning too, held on a track near the finish area.
