About the Iao Valley 10K & 5K
The course starts near a downtown street intersection and climbs through Wailuku toward Iao Valley State Park, gaining elevation on the way out. The return leg rolls back downhill the whole way, which changes the feeling of the run entirely. The surroundings shift from town streets to valley scenery as you head up, and the park itself is the turnaround.
Parking is at the Wailuku Parking Garage nearby. The course is foot traffic only, strollers and dogs are not allowed.
