The course runs almost entirely on dirt through a campus, with named sections that hint at the terrain: a shaded glen, an archery site, a dip into a valley, and a climb called Resurrection Hill. The final stretch rolls back to a track finish, so the last mile has some give-and-take before you hit the straightaway.
