About the HWAM Superhero Run
The race runs through Valley of the Rogue State Park, so the surroundings are green and open rather than urban. Runners are encouraged to show up in superhero costumes, and prizes go to the best-dressed, which gives the start line a different energy than most timed races.
Several food trucks set up on site, and a kids' activity area runs alongside the race with jousting, face painting, an obstacle course, and arts and crafts, so families tend to stick around well past the finish.
