About the Huskers 5K - East Prairie, Mo.
The course runs on city streets, sidewalks, and stretches of rural highway through East Prairie, flat the whole way. Race officials patrol the route, including ATV support on the open road sections, and water stations are spaced along the way. It is a road race that moves through the edges of a small town.
The start and finish are outside a gym on Washington Street, which also serves as the registration area. The race shares its evening with a local street festival, so nearby parking fills faster than usual. Portable restrooms and running water are available at the start.
