About the Hunters Moon "Hooves & Heels" Run - 5K, 3K & 1K

The course runs through Calvert's historic downtown, passing Victorian houses along the route. The color run option sends walkers and runners past stations where volunteers douse them with Holi powder, so the architecture and the chaos share the same streets. The timed option is straightforward, aimed at runners chasing a personal best.

Packet pickup and check-in happen race morning at the Calvert Volunteer Fire Department on Railroad Street, which also serves as the course for the kids' run, so families can watch from the sidewalk the whole way. Parking is along the main highway through downtown and the surrounding side streets, a short walk to the start.
