The course runs a mix of trails and roads out of Henniker Brewing Company, which also serves as the finish. The terrain is mixed enough to keep things honest, with the trail sections cutting through fall foliage and the road portions opening things up. It is a benefit race, with proceeds going to the American Legion post that shares the start and finish area.
Post-race, the brewery is right there. The finish area draws veterans, families, and supporters alongside the runners, so there is real crowd at the line.
