About the Hudson County's Strides for Safety 5k
The course runs through Lincoln Park, a large urban green space in Jersey City, and is USATF-certified. Walkers head out right after the runners, so the field spreads across the park at its own pace. The race is organized around a cause, gun violence awareness, and community organizations working on that issue have a presence at the event.
Check-in is at the park entrance on Westside Avenue, right next to the start line. There is a hard cutoff for driving into the park once the race begins, so arriving early matters. After the run, there is a BBQ near the finish line, outside the Gallo Center, with an awards ceremony, music, and family activities.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a decent-sized field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Hudson County's Strides for Safety 5k has been held every year since at least 2022. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
