About the Howl-o-ween Paws For A Cause
This is a dog-friendly Halloween race around Buckeye Lake, open to walkers and runners alike, with costumes encouraged for the four-legged participants. The route is not described in detail, but the lake setting gives it a natural, open feel, and the Halloween theme runs through the whole morning.
After crossing the finish, there are activities on site, including a costume contest for dogs, a bobbing for apples contest, and a basket raffle. The race benefits a foundation that trains and donates service dogs to people with disabilities, so the entry fees go somewhere specific.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Howl-o-ween Paws For A Cause has been held every year since at least 2024. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
