About the Howl at the Moon 5K
The course runs an out-and-back on city streets, leaving Veterans Memorial Park and heading out along Floyd Mayfield Drive and Murfreesboro Road to a turnaround at City Hall, then back the same way. It is a road race through a built part of town, flat and straightforward.
Check-in is at Pavilion B inside Veterans Memorial Park. The race goes off in the evening, so expect to run after dark. Awards go to the top finishers in each age division and to the overall male and female winners.
