About the Hot Pursuit 5k & 1 Mile Catch-A-Cop @ The Airport

The course runs along the taxiways and runway of a small county airport, which makes it genuinely unlike most road races. The surface is flat and wide open, with no traffic and long sight lines. Kids get their own shorter race first, chasing law enforcement officers down the runway and collecting flags, then riding back in police cars.

Packet pickup the evening before is at a spot right at the airport, with morning pickup available at the same location before the start. Parking, the start area, and awards all happen near that same building. An ice cream shop on site stays open after the race wraps up.
