The Hot Flash 5K is built around women at every stage of menopause, and the atmosphere reflects that. There is no chip timing, so the pressure to hit a split dissolves pretty quickly. The start and finish are both at Midlothian Community Park, which keeps the morning contained and easy to navigate. Friends, mothers, and daughters tend to show up together here.
