About the 2027 Horseneck Half & 3.5 Miler
The course starts and finishes at Horseneck Beach, a state beach on the coast, so the surroundings are open and salt-aired. Expect flat terrain along the water rather than any serious climbing. Both distance options share that coastal setting, and the shorter route has aid on the course while the half has several stops stocked with a sports hydration drink.
Packet pickup the day before is at Westport River Winery, which is worth arriving early for. Race-morning pickup opens well before the start at the beach. After the race, there is a full post-race party with hot food, beer from a local brewery, recovery drinks, and a DJ. The winery also offers runners a discount on purchases.
