The course runs through a mix of wide grassy trails and established wooded paths, entirely free of vehicle traffic. Fall foliage surrounds the whole route, and the organizers note that resident bald eagles have been spotted overhead. Rabbits and squirrels are common trail companions. The race benefits a local breast cancer support organization.

Parking is managed by volunteers with sandwich boards pointing the way. The main lot is at the town hall on Main Street, with a secondary option at a nearby baseball field.
