About the Hoppy Half Marathon, Relay, 10k & 5k
The course runs out and back on the Chief Standing Bear Trail, a crushed limestone path with some paved sections mixed in. It is flat and fast underfoot, the kind of surface that suits most running shoes. Leashed dogs are welcome on the course, so expect a few four-legged training partners along the way.
The race is tied to Oktoberfest at a local brewery, with food vendors and live music at the finish area. Race-morning registration is available before the start. Proceeds go toward maintaining the trail itself, which is run by a nonprofit.
