About the Hoodlebug 5K Run and Fun Walk
The course heads out from a bridge on Main Street and runs mostly on the Hoodlebug Trail, an out-and-back that keeps the route straightforward and easy to follow. The trail surface is the main thing underfoot, and the surrounding area is quiet enough that you notice it. The race runs as part of the town's Fall Festival, so there is activity around the start area beyond just the race itself.
Race-day registration opens in the afternoon at a park on the western edge of town, and that same park anchors the start area. The bridge on Main Street is where the race actually begins, a short walk from the festival grounds. The race runs rain or shine with no deferrals, so plan accordingly.
