About the Home For Freedom Marathon
The course runs through Lucy Park, which sits along the Wichita River and is full of mature pecan and cottonwood trees. The route passes a swinging bridge over the river and moves through the center of Wichita Falls. Several distance options mean the park sees traffic all morning, and the surroundings feel more natural corridor than urban road race.
Packet pickup is the evening before, paired with a spaghetti dinner at the same location. Pickup is only offered that evening, and someone else can collect your packet if needed, as long as they bring a written note from you. The start and finish are both at the pavilion in Lucy Park.
