About the Holly Jolly 5K & Fun Run

The race runs through downtown Allen in the late afternoon, wrapping up in time for a tree lighting and holiday festival that takes over the surrounding streets. There are distance options for different intentions, timed and untimed, plus a shorter non-competitive run, so families with young kids and people chasing a result tend to show up the same evening.

Packet pickup is available on the two evenings before the race at the Allen Parks and Recreation Administrative Building, with race-morning pickup at a white tent at the corner of two downtown streets. Parking is free throughout downtown, though some roads and lots close partway through the afternoon. A free shuttle runs from a nearby campus to the start area.
