About the Holiday 5k Run
The course starts and finishes on the track at Martinsville Speedway, so you are running where cars race. The surface is smooth and the layout is tight, and the whole thing takes place inside the grandstand bowl. The event is tied to a toy drive, and participants are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy.
Packet pickup runs the afternoon and evening before at the Martinsville YMCA, with race-morning pickup available at the Speedway before the start. The start area is the infield and pit lane of an active NASCAR track, which gives the morning a different feel than a road race or a park course.
