About the Hogsback Half Marathon
The course runs point-to-point along country roads beside the Farmington River, passing through several small towns in the hills of this corner of the state. It is certified and carries a gentle net downhill the whole way, which makes it honest fast without requiring much heroics. The roads are lightly traveled, so you are mostly running through quiet rural landscape.
Bibs are available on the morning of the race, but registration closes before that day, so you need to be in before you show up. A post-race spread follows the finish, and an awards ceremony with raffle prizes wraps up the morning. Proceeds go to a nonprofit that funds shelter animal rescues.

The Hogsback Half Marathon has been held every year since at least 2022. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
