About the Ho’ōla 5K
The course runs through Kalama Valley, starting and finishing at Kalama Valley Community Park. The route is set up for timing, so competitive runners get a real result, but strollers are welcome too, which tends to bring out a mixed crowd with kids in tow. The race benefits a statewide nonprofit focused on primary care access, so there is a reason behind the morning beyond the run itself.
Packet pickup is the evening before, with race-morning pickup available at the park as well. Refreshments are out after you finish. Awards go to overall and age-group leaders, and there is a separate division for stroller pushers.
