About the HO HO HOPE IN THE AFTERMATH RUN
This race is a Christmas-themed charity event put on by a non-profit that supports families who have lost a child. There is a short kids dash alongside the main run distance option. Beyond the running, the morning brings holiday singers, a chance to meet Santa, crafts for younger kids, and hot cocoa and cookies at the finish area.
There are also food vendor booths on site. A costume contest runs alongside the timed race, with awards going to the most festive outfits among both adults and children. The whole morning is built around the charity's mission, so the crowd tends to be people who already know the cause.
