About the HKYFS Pumpkin Run 5K, 2M & Kids Run
The Pumpkin Run is a fall road race on a fast road course, with distance options for runners and a shorter route for kids. The race falls close to Halloween, and costumes are part of the culture, with a contest for adults, kids, and dogs. Dogs are welcome as long as they stay leashed.
The start area has vendors, games, crafts, and a DJ. Warm breakfast items are available for purchase on site. It is a fundraiser for a local youth and family services organization, so the entry fee goes toward counseling, youth programs, and family support in the surrounding community.
