About the Historic White Mills 5K

The race starts and ends near the post office, then sends runners across an old truss bridge over the Nolin River. From there the route follows the river along a country road, shaded for most of the way, with one highway crossing before the turnaround. The terrain is gentle, and the surroundings are fields and farms rather than neighborhoods.

Packet pickup happens race morning before the start. The race is part of White Mills Days, a town-wide festival, so the finish area has plenty going on around it. Proceeds support the local civic league, the volunteer fire department, and the ball park. A chicken dinner wraps up the day over at the old hotel dining room.
