About the Historic Elizabeth Main Street 5K & Family Color Run

The course starts on Main Street, drops into Running Creek Park, then heads north under a bridge to Evans Park, where it loops around a frisbee golf course past a pond before doubling back south. The return passes alongside a cow pasture and behind an elementary school before climbing back up to Main Street to finish. The surface shifts between pavement and dirt throughout.

Packet pickup is at Town Hall the two days before the race, and parking is free on the surrounding downtown streets, though the stretch of Main Street at the heart of the course is closed to cars. After finishing, there are pancakes and a local brewery pouring at the finish area, and a backyard BBQ competition gets going in Running Creek Park later that morning.
