About the Historic Drawbridge Running Festival
The course runs almost entirely straight, from Tilghman Island up the main road into St. Michaels, finishing at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. You cross a drawbridge near the start, then spend nearly the whole race on a flat road shoulder, with cones separating you from traffic. The marathon adds a detour through the small town of Bozman before looping back. Elevation is minimal throughout.
Shuttle buses run from the Museum on race morning out to the start on Tilghman Island, so your car is waiting at the finish when you get there. Packet pickup is available the evening before at a local running shop in St. Michaels, with race-morning pickup also available at the Museum before the buses load.
