About the Highlands Ranch 5k

The course runs out and back on concrete trails through Highlands Ranch, heading west and south before turning around and retracing back to the finish. The surface is entirely paved and stroller-friendly, but this is a hilly route, and if there has been overnight snow the concrete can carry ice, so trail shoes or spikes are worth thinking about.

Advanced packet pickup runs the evening before the race at a running store in Lone Tree. On race morning, pickup opens before the start for those who missed it. Parking is free at Highlands Heritage Regional Park, with signs at the south end pointing to the closest lot. Hot apple cider and cocoa are at the finish.
