About the 4th Highland Homecoming 5k Run & Walk
The race starts and finishes at the high school track, running through Ault. It benefits the school's cross-country teams, so the volunteers and crowd tend to be people who actually know the sport. The course is a classic out-and-back style road run, flat enough to suit most paces.
Parking is in a dirt lot behind the high school. The start is on the track, which makes for a clean staging area with plenty of room to warm up before the gun goes off. Awards go to overall winners and age group placers on both the open and masters sides.
